I just started week 7 and I finally feel like I just might be able to run the whole 3.1. Last night I did 3 miles in the 35 min which felt good. I wanted to do the raceday in 30 but I know that is unlikely because I just am not there yet. If I can do the raceday in under 40 I will be ecstatic really - I can't compare myself to anyone but me.

Actually Sparkpeople does have a 10K training plan. It doesn't have a group like this but it does have a workout schedule. Try typing in 10K training plan in the search box.

Michael Myers taught me a valuable life lesson. Don't worry about how fast everyone around you is moving. If you're determined, just move at your own pace and you'll kill it every time!

Is anyone else around at this point? The most recent post that I saw was from May!

The 4 minutes felt hard at the start of the run, but it felt a lot better as I warmed up. It sure feels great to be at this stage! I had a week without running at about the week 4 mark, so I had to regroup and recover lost ground. Everything feels on track at this point - touch wood!

I'm looking ahead a bit at this stage, thinking of how to use this kind of training program to work up to 10K. I'll probably need to join some kind of local running program - too bad Spark doesn't have a 10K program!
