I'm looking for a buddy/some buddies who is/are around for a daily spark mail. Preferably in the uk so we can keep in touch throughout the day, but not necessarily so.

I'm starting calorie counting on Friday along with exercise, mainly walking, with some house cleaning, and some daily beginners Strength Training exercises. Hoping to get the exercise habit as I think that is important for a swift and steady weight loss. Hoping eventually to *enjoy* a variety of different types of exercise on a regular and frequent basis.

Not starting until Friday as I have yet to do some menu planning.

Tomorrow I will be wearing both of the pedometers that I own, to see if they come up with the same result, and to see how many steps I take on an average day. Then on Friday I will either aim for 10,000 steps or 2,000 more than I do tomorrow.

Oh and BTW, I'm married, aged 52, no children, live in Devon, like reading and gardening, and am a born again Christian.
And I want to start to learn to cook more interesting meals.

If you're completely different - that's fine by me! I'm just looking for someone to share this journey with!
