According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) our bodies energy or Qi is in constant motion that ‘peaks’ every 2 hours with one of our internal organs which means that during this time period the organ is most active. Working in sync with our internal organs helps us to achieve good health. If the energy is blocked or out of balance, symptoms will be more noticeable during the organs active 2 hour period.

9.00am to 11.00am is the time of the Spleen. The spleen takes over from the stomach and aids in the transformation and transportation of food and drink. It is also associated with mental alertness, concentration and work. Without the raw materials (breakfast) in the stomach to be passed onto the spleen so that it can convert the nutrients into energy, it cannot do its job properly, which leads to the inability to concentrate effectively; eg children who skip breakfast. With our energy on the up, we are ready for action mentally and physically.

Joyful Moment - All you need to do today is:

To take advantage over the next two hours of the positive energy the spleen is creating by getting things done. Go through your to do list and start ticking things off, make those decisions you have been putting off, think positively and start achieving. Spleen time is energy time, fuel for your body to get you through the day, time when your mental alertness is at its peak, a time to learn new things, a time to communicate. ‘She believed she could and she did’
