According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) our bodies energy or Qi is in constant motion that ‘peaks’ every 2 hours with one of our internal organs which means that during this time period the organ is most active. Working in sync with our internal organs helps us to achieve good health. If the energy is blocked or out of balance, symptoms will be more noticeable during the organs active 2 hour period.

5.00pm to 7.00pm is the time of the Kidneys. The kidney’s job is to filter the blood. The next 2 hours for most of us is spent in finishing work and going home. It is the time when we switch off as we leave work and start thinking of having fun, meeting friends for a get together or a time to reflect on the day. If it was not so good do not dwell on it, tomorrow is another day. This is the time for happiness and laughter.

Joyful Moment - All you need to do today is:

To enjoy the happy hour. It does not have to involve alcohol if that is not for you; you can get together with friends for non-alcoholic drinks such as a soda or herbal teas etc. The point of it at this time is to get together with friends after work and have a few laughs. Or with your significant other when they arrive home, maybe discuss your day etc, have a few laughs and just enjoy yourself while preparing dinner.
