According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) our bodies energy or Qi is in constant motion that ‘peaks’ every 2 hours with one of our internal organs which means that during this time period the organ is most active. Working in sync with our internal organs helps us to achieve good health. If the energy is blocked or out of balance, symptoms will be more noticeable during the organs active 2 hour period.

9.00pm to 11.00pm is the time of the San Jiao / Triple Heater. This is not an organ but refers to the endocrine system. The endocrine system is the system of glands, each of which secretes different types of hormone directly into the bloodstream to regulate the body, like mood, growth and development and metabolism. One of the hormones is Melatonin which is involved with regulating the sleeping and waking cycles. While this is going on it is a good time to snuggle up in bed, to drift off to sleep and have pleasant dreams of faraway places.

Joyful Moment - All you need to do today is:

To go to bed tonight at a reasonable hour and get a good night’s sleep. This gives your body a chance to catch up on some needed rest after a busy day. Even though your body is still working on the inside it does not have to also cope with physical activity on the outside if you were up and doing things. There is a saying:

Early to bed,
Early to rise,
Makes a (wo)man,
HEALTHY, wealthy and wise.

This saying has been around for a long time; there must be something it.
