That would explain why most asthma attacks happen at that time of the night. Very interesting. Thank you!

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) our bodies energy or Qi is in constant motion that ‘peaks’ every 2 hours with one of our internal organs which means that during this time period the organ is most active. Working in sync with our internal organs helps us to achieve good health. If the energy is blocked or out of balance, symptoms will be more noticeable during the organs active 2 hour period.

3.00am – 5.00am is the time of the Lungs. Their main function is to take clean oxygenated air from the atmosphere into the bloodstream and in the next breath we release carbon dioxide from the bloodstream into the atmosphere. All this happens so naturally that we don’t really think about it until we have trouble breathing. We tend to take our lungs for granted. We took our first breath when we were born, we will take our last breath when we die, each day between be aware of your breathing and your life, give thanks.

Joyful Moment - All you need to do today is:

To spend some time outside, go for a walk in the country, forest, by the sea, in the park, anywhere where you can breathe in good clean air to help our bodies to be healthy. Oxygen we need, good clean oxygen all the better; carbon dioxide we don’t need, but the trees do. They do the opposite during the day, take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Working with nature, what a lovely thought.
