Breakfast used to be the meal I could "depend on" - had time to make it, enjoy etc. Now it is on the run 5 days out of the week. I need to get back to making it and enjoying it, even if it means getting up a little earlier. I really think a little prep work the night before would solve my problems, not to do it!!!!!!!!

Here is some good ideas for you compliments of AskDoctorSears.com

1.granola cereal, yogurt, a sliced apple

2. scrambled eggs, toast, orange juice

3. veggie omelet, bran muffin, fruit with yogurt

4. whole-grain pancakes or waffles topped with berries and/or yogurt, milk

5. whole-wheat zucchini pancakes topped with fruit, milk

6. french toast topped with fruit, orange juice or milk

7. low-fat cheese melted on toast with a piece of fruit

8. low-fat cream cheese on a whole-grain bagel, orange juice

9. peanut butter and banana slices on an english muffin, milk

In a hurry again this morning and rushed breakfast. I had a hard boiled egg in the fridge, cooked yesterday, so I made an egg sandwich and a cup of tea. I don't know if I have got all the protein, carbs and fats covered in the right proportion but it was something before I went out the door to work. Any suggestions for a quick breakfast? What are your favorite breakfasts that cover the protein, carbs and fats ratio? Seize the day.
