Today was day 5 for me and so far so good. I definitely need to get my cardio in tomorrow and Saturday to make the five days of cardio for the week which shouldn't be a problem.

Another person posted something similar. Some of the suggestions were chewing gum while you cook and so on. I think for me, that is when I am getting tired and its "sundown syndrome" time with everyone in my house. I used to put out healthy "appetizers" like grapes and some low fat cheese on a cutting board so it looked nice. I think I need to remember to do things like that or set the mood with nice music and take a minute for myself. (Ideas - washing my face, putting on my favorite slippers, something that makes me feel good that isn't eating.) Just slow things down to alleviate that mania that occurs at that time of day. I hope that helps you think of things for your own situation. :)

:-) I started the challenge yesterday and was able to catch up all the cardio and videos I had missed from Sun-Wed between yesterday and today :-)
So excited to start day 6 on track..although my outer thighs are burning!!!
Question: Most of the time when an exercise says it will make your glutes and hips sore, I feel nothing except for my outer thighs..any tips as to what I might be doing wrong..how can I focus on those muscle groups?

In DESPERATE need of guidance! The first half of my day starts out good, my meals are planned, I get my workouts done in the morning and I'm feeling like I can take over the world! Then, towards dinner time it seems like my stress levels go up and I just start grabbing anything to eat. I don't want to self sabotage again...Any suggestions??

I'm glad I joined, the videos are adding some nice variety to my usual exercise. The Pilates hips and thighs video today was quite challenging, even though I've done the 12-minute abs video before. I've done some movements that I would never think of doing on my own. COOL! emoticon emoticon

Did day Lower Body Sculpt and Bootcamp video day 3. I also did a Leslie Sansone "Walk Your Belly Flat" dvd and the 10 min. stretches/sculpt at the end. I also walked the dog just over 1 1/2 miles.

I am behind and only on day three as well. I had a surprise family visit for days 2 and3 and wasn't able to continue until today but I am glad I did pick up where I left off and you are right!! The videos make it look rather easy but when you do them, you find out really quick, it is harder and it feels great to be doing this! So..so...so glad I joined up..one day at a time!! emoticon

I feel like the new kid,,,,everyone is on day five and I just finished day3!!! So far so good. I have noticed that the videos make it look like no big deal but when you start doing the exercises you realize what a work out it is!!! I think this will help get me back into my strength training.

Just finished 35 minutes on my recumbent (new best friend). Try to keep right at 10 MPH, but I see how much the beat of the music I listen to affects my pace. So I am trying to revamp my workout mix for more upbeat songs.

Had a high-energy day: starting out with the (longest) 11-Minute Chair Cardio Video, and adding stretch exercises throughout the day.;

I might even start sharing my fitness tracker. emoticon

It's gone wonderfully until today! I've had to make a few adaptations, but have been able to do most of the exercises. Today was a different story.

As a old (ahem, forget I said that!) person with arthritis in hips and knees (bone on bone there), it is very difficult for me to get up and down off the floor.

I did the best I could AND I did 30 minutes of strength, stretching and isometrics during my work day. I also walked with the dog at a pretty rapid pace for 25 minutes.

I will try to keep up, emoticon emoticon

Day 5 was better fitness wise. I got in 20 minutes of walking, 10 of kickboxing, and I did the day 5 video twice. Nutrition wise, I did okay. A little over, but much better than the last couple of days. Overall, I'm happy with it after the really crappy day I had today.

I found the Day 1 video to be a bit difficult for me, but I still managed to do most of it. I have gotten the most benefit out of the Day 3 and 4 videos. They will definitely be added to my regular workout routine.

I am so impressed at the things you do....I am so out of shape. Could only do 5 minutes of chair aerobics, but I guess I can only go up! Tomorrow I need to do day 5 and day 6 videos and of course all the other things I have scheduled myself to do. I am proud that they total about 40 minutes each day....that is so new for me!

Day 5 how time flies. did today's video, a challenge, but I made it. love the 10 min time, just right for folks like me who haven't exercised in 30 years. What can I say- I was busy with other things. Just hope it's not too late. still can't accept that I couldn't jump for the jump start. will get some rest and keep movin' on tomorrow.

I have no chairs to use when I exercise doing these videos. I use the end of the bed just doesn't seem to work as well. Any ideas on how to modify them?

I really like this challenge so far. I think this is a great way to get excited about exercising again. I started running this summer and kept the momentum going until November or so and then lost motivation to exercise once it got cold. Now, I'm back in classes and doing these videos everyday. Feelin' great!

I can really tell I haven't lifted weights in a while-geesh!
