I have been pre-packaging my meals for the past couple of days. This way I limit what I eat.

My downfall has been that this afternoon I was hungry and ate the crackers on my desk - the good side of this downfall - at least it wasn't the whole box!!!

Nice! Fruits and proteins are our friends!!!

My two protein snacks these days are a fruit (apple/pear/banana) and a string cheese stick for one and yogurt and a jello fruit cup for the second snack....

The protein drinks are also good (but I need to EAT something!) LOL!

Suggestion about those fried foods.... don't say never (otherwise you'll just CRAVE them) just pick a day maybe once a week to enjoy something like french fries! Or not!

Sounds like you are doing an AMAZING job! emoticon emoticon

After my VSG(vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy) main issues have been reflux and tolerance of food.So recently have achieved a happy medium of eating some form of tomato /yogurt rice (with Biryani rice which is easier to chew and swallow, and have got the servers in the cafeteria to serve less with more veggies instead so that I feel fuller! It is hard for me to throw away food but learning to speak up for myself and say -that is enough for me,Thank you -was a big step for me!

How have you set yourself up for success? What small trick have you done to increase your satisfaction and consume fewer calories without ever "dieting"? What mindful eating techniques or smart ways did you plate your food so that you feel fuller?

How did you lighten up any recipe? What smart tweak did you do to a recipe or did you just enjoy it in a smaller portion?
