Thanks Kelly. We haven't gone out much this week, but I always look for items on the menu that taste good but don't hurt my progress in getting healthier. Always good to have some advice on this area.

Have a group lunch buffet at the Marriott once a month. I do a salad, no dressing, sometimes meat and a veggie then the pasta bar where the cook fixes your choice of veggies, shrimp and pasta. I get a load of veggies and shrimp, no veggies. Then I hit the dessert bar and undo what I did after 90 minutes in the water. OOOPS just noticed I said no veggies, meant no pasta.

If eating out, I try to just watch what I'm ordering - much like what you order at Outback. And I am careful that day with other meals.

I go to local Outback in area and get the following:

House Salad with a low fat dressing; broccoli; 6 oz sirloin steak. I drink water.

What I do is eat 1/2 of the steak and save the rest for next day lunch. Based on the calories Outback posts my meal is about 465 calories and little carbs. Great meal for not to many cals for dinner.
