I miscarried at 14wks 8yrs ago. Seriously messed with my head and how I felt about and treated my body. Now I'm 22wks along with my rainbow baby due in April.

So glad things are going so well for both of you.

When I was pregnant with my son, we conceived him 2 months after our miscarriage. I was so worried everyday that something was going to go wrong with that pregnancy. We bought a doppler for at home so that when I was far enough along, I could find the heartbeat when I was worried. My husband got really good at finding the heartbeat. I carried my son to 31 5/7 weeks before I got severe pre-eclampsia and they had to deliver him for my health. He was in the NICU for 3 weeks and is a healthy 6 1/2 year old boy now.

Keep us posted on how things are going with the pregancies!

Congratulations CLAYARTLIFE and CRINS15! I was just peeking in on this thread again and it's good to see your happy news posted. I was suffering from amenorrhea from weight loss since Dec. 2013 and finally found out I was pregnant this June, but then miscarried in August. The good news right now is that I've had 2 periods since then, so in a month or so we'll get to try again. So thanks for sharing your stories, it gives me hope! :)

Oh congrats CLAYARTLIFE!! I am 23 weeks tomorrow and everything seems to be going well so far as well! We had our anatomy scan two weeks ago and all looks well... I do have to go in again Thursday because they couldn't get very good images of the heart, but it sounds really good and everything else seems fine so we aren't concerned! We also found out we are having a boy! I have to say I was completely shocked, I was 99% sure it was girl... so much for my "mom instincts" lol! I am still really happy though and can't wait to meet my little man!

Yaaaay so glad to hear this! So it's a boy? Boys are SO flipping fun! CRAZY, but funnnnn. We're about to go trick-or-treating for the first time EVER on Saturday and I'm SUPER stoked. He's going as a Jawa (from Star Wars) hehehe

Have an awesome rest of your pregnancy and enjoy all the little moments. :)

Thanks for the encouragement! I am almost 25 weeks now and everything is going very well. Fortunately my doc's office was very understanding and followed my progesterone and HCG closely early on to reassure me, plus scheduled an 8 wk US that was great - hearing that heartbeat, so awesome. I do a lot of yoga and meditation and I do think that helped me cope with the first few months, just waiting and waiting until my next appointment and next opportunity to see or hear our little one! He's kicking all the time now and I feel so much better these days!

Hi there! There is hope:) both previous MCs could have been a fluke and NOT something where you are not able to carry a baby to term.

I also had 2 MCs before having my son 2 years ago last month. After my 2nd, I wanted no part of the "wait and see" on the 3rd pregnancy, so I took it upon myself to get to a fertility center to have all the testing done on my husband and me. They didn't find much but I DID ask to be put on levothyroxine because of my personal and family history of thyroid disease and they also put me on metformin for PCOS even though I had no issues conceiving and didn't believe PCOS to be a cause of the MCs (it CAN be a cause though, turns out.) They also had me taking progesterone as well as HCG injections as soon as I got pregnant again. I was also closely monitored (weekly ultrasounds and bloodwork) and in the end--all was well and I had my son on Sept 23, 2013.

It's hard to try and be positive with all of the loss and with the worry about another loss, but just try and relax. Do you do yoga or anything like that that could help you detach and center?

Best of luck to you! :)

And OOPS! I didn't realize how OLD this post is. Hopefully all is well and you're having a very healthy pregnancy:)

Congrats! And like others have said take it in stride and be positive! I just miscarried in April with my first and we have started trying again... hoping that this might be the month. But I completely understand where you are coming from. I am terrified that it will happen again. But all you can do is be positive and enjoy it and hope that this time will be a better outcome! Good luck!

Congratulations! I agree with the other posters- try to enjoy every moment and take it one day at a time.

Unfortunately the majority of doctors do not see miscarriages as an issue until you have three. No idea why. I pray this one sticks for you and you won't need to worry!

Wow congrats!!! Keep as much positive energy as you can. I've been there and I know the feeling of not wanting to believe it and wanting some more answers and solid knowlegde that this lil one will stick around.BUT this lil one deserves all the positive energy you can send its way so just take it easy and try and keep yourself busy with fun happy stress free activities. I am almost five months along now and still I worry about miscarrying again after every little 'off' feeling I get. We've just gotta send good mojo down to that lil spirit inside of us, they need it too! Sending good vibes and prayers your way!!!

Congratulations!! I know just how you feel..I had three miscarriages between my two sons and while I pregnant with my second,I was nervous the whole time. The most important advice that I can give is to enjoy today. You're pregnant today, you can't control tomorrow and each day you do that, the closer you are to holding your precious baby. I pray that you're pregnancy is a healthy, successful one and if you're a religious person, please believe that God has your back! Congrats again!

Just got my BFP today! SOOO unexpected, we were only kind of trying (aka not really preventing) last month! But conceiving has never been my problem, sadly. After two miscarriages, I am so terrified that this won't last. Would love to hear from anyone else who has had a similar experience... was your doc able to help? How did you cope with those first few weeks/months until things were more certain? I am seeing my doc soon and getting some tests done, but he was super hesitant to do anything until I have three MCs! I was like, really? I don't want to go through that again! But from what I've read it sounds like there's not a lot you can do... Anyway, would really appreciate any positive energy you guys could send my way!
