My horrible before picture. This was the picture that made me sit and think hard about what I need to do to change my life! After seeing this pic, I cried, I yelled, I got mad at myself, and I got up and changed my lifestyle!

Hi, I'm Angie, and I'm 31 years old. I started my weight loss and fitness journey in March 2004. I have lost 118 lbs so far and would still like to lose another 30-35 lbs. I decided to make a lifestyle change when I got tired of being tired, depressed, achy, and miserable! I couldn't stand trying to live the way I was and I really wasn't living, I was just existing. After seeing my "before" picture, I was so upset that I cried for hours and decided it was time to do something. I have lost the 118 lbs completely natural. I changed the way I ate and started working out regularly. I didn't have surgery, I didn't take any pills or anything. I did it the old fashioned way! I try and eat heart healthy because heart disease is in my family and my dad has had 3 heart attacks and all before he was 60 years old. I decided I didn't want to follow in that path. It took me a long time to finally realize what it took to lose the weight and keep it off, and although it's been a slow go, I know that it's better that way! My motivation has waivered a little and I hope to get the fire back that got me this far! I would like to reach my goal weight by the end of the year or at least by this time next year!

My Goals:
I want to reach my ultimate weight loss goal by the end of the year, which I have about another 35 lbs to go. I want to maintain my weight loss, and continue to live my healthy lifestyle.

My Program:
I eat heart healthy the way American Heart Association suggests. I have lost weight naturally, just by eating healthier and making exercise a part of my daily life. I still eat foods I enjoy, just less of them, less often. I try to get an hour of cardio 6 days a week and I do strength training.
