Ahh yes...weight loss. It seems like I have been losing weight all my life. It's funny though, because that scale and the size of my pants certainly do not reflect that. If I really had been losing weight all this time, I would be into the negative thousands by now!

HOWEVER, that fact, though humorous (to me) does not matter. The fact is, that I AM STILL HERE and I am going to lose weight by eating healthy foods and staying active because I DESERVE IT!

I am going to remind myself of what I wrote when I first joined Spark in February:

"I am tired of being angry with myself and I need to be held accountable for my actions. This website is truly changing my life!!!"

I am still here because I am holding myself accountable!

Thank you for visiting my site and joining me on my journey. It's a long road, but as my friends on Spark always remind me, it's one step forward at a time.

A new thought I would like to incorporate into my life, taken from a recent SparkPeople Article:

Don’t be a perfectionist

In the Malaysian culture, a minor flaw is always included on final products so the gods will not be offended, since only the gods are considered capable of producing anything perfect. Some things are worth perfecting, but often good enough is just that— good enough. What’s more, perfectionism—paying unnecessary attention to detail—can be a form of procrastination.

    I haven't gotten on this thing in way too long...

    DON'T GIVE UP. Think back to why you started this in the first place. It's for you and no one else. It's not worth getting mad at yourself for. If you have a bad day, start over immediately! Take it hour by hour, water glass by water glass if you need to. Just. Don't. Give. UP!

    So I wanted to thank you ( emoticon ) for sending me that message the other day... it got me to thinking about me again (which I hadn't been) and not making excuses! Today is Day 2 of biking riding again. :) And Day 2 of no soda and just everything good. So thank you!!

    Unfortunately, I'm not "doing" anything at all. :( Haven't since about October. We even bought an eliptical machine (it's kind of a crappy one, but it still IS one) and it doesn't get used. I sort of just feel "blah" about the whole thing now. I want it to happen, I just can't bother with finding the time to make it happen. It makes me sad. Hope things are going well for you though! :) emoticon
