Welcome to my page! I've lost 44 lbs with the support of you wonderful people on SP. From size 22 to size 16. I have better quality of life and am much more active. I started with Pilates back in Feb, 2011, and am now a runner. I have learned a lot about what works for me and what doesn't with weight loss. I have fought off my cynical, scared, and discouraged feelings and habits. I am now ready to start strong again and lose some more weight.

My ultimate goal is to get to a healthy BMI of 20-23 by my 10th year wedding anniversary. An even 100# loss total would put me at my ideal weight for my height.

About me:
I am 36 years old and have 7 year old twins, a girl and a boy. I'm a registered dietitian who works full time. I started SP in Feb, 2011 and lost 25 lbs in a few months. From there I had some ups and downs, depending on how hard I worked at my weight loss. I've been maintaining a 44 lb loss for a while now, and am starting strong again.

I have a heart condition (peripardom cardiomyopathy, heart failure due to pregnancy) which means I have to ease into things. This is something I have to deal with and have had to overcome. If you see me writing about my blood lipid values, heart rate, or about overcoming fear you'll understand it's because I've come a long way. I started slowly with walking and pilates and I'm now running.

I started SP on 2-16-2011

Thanks for spotting by and for your support!

Hi! I keep trying to reply to your comment on my phone and it won't let me, I finally logged in on a real computer and so I can leave you a message. Welcome back!! I've been very silent on my page but I'm still here, actually taking a break from tracking for a bit though. I usually track my water even if I don't track food. I finally got pregnant and was trying to be pretty strict with my diet earlier and count calories, but it was weird to eat 2,500+ calories and not feel guilty or worry about it, so I'm just not tracking for a bit and paying attention to my appetite instead. As long as I don't gain too much weight I figure this is a good strategy!
I'm still working at the same hospital but took a different position in August, I love it. I'm down in the transplant institute now, it's never a dull day.
What's new with you with work, health, etc?

Thank you for the blog comment! I actually have begun taking deep breaths in times of stress lately, I think the team I work with thought I was hyperventalating the other day on rounds because I was so stressed out and breathing a lot! It does seem to calm me down.

I am taking this one day at a time. Last night I went out to dinner with my husband and ordered french fries on the side (I don't even like fries because I end up burping the taste all night) and my husband gave me this incredulous look....I changed my order to Brussels sprouts instead, and I'm so glad I did. We do silly things when we're hungry, my brain was demanding fries because I was surrounded by people at other tables with fries.
