Hi! First, thanks for stopping by my page to see what I'm all about.

I'm 24 years old, and graduated from college about a year ago. I've noticed since I've stopped running around from class to class across a big campus I've slowly gained about 5 pounds. 5 pound: not bad, right? Well, if I gain 5 pounds every year, that's not a good thing!

I've never been considered athletic or sport-oriented, and I'm working hard to be able to run more than a mile at a time. This in itself was a huge goal for me, and I'm so proud that I could get to this point.

I suffer from severe asthma and allergies, and I've always used these as excuses. Well, no more excuses! I've been regularly exercising since April 2008 and have already noticed a difference in my lungs, and hope that with more exercise they will only become stronger .

I'm only looking to lose between 20 and 30 pounds since I'm not extremely overweight, but the excess weight is making me lethargic and I know my health will suffer if I don't rid myself of this fat on my short frame.

Sparkpeople has really kept me motivated, and I'm so excited to journal my weight loss and health journey with everyone on sparkpeople. Don't lose faith; hard work is rewarding!

My Program:
I try to do cardio 6 days a week, along with free weights and calisthenics as frequently as possible. I am eating between 1200-1500 calories, drinking 10 glasses of water a day, and avoiding sodas and juices. I'm also trying to integrate a lot more fruits and vegetables into my diet, but this is problematic since I have quite a few fruit allergies.
