The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step!

Like countless others, I have struggled with my weight for my entire life. I am at it again...

My Goals:
My goal is to eat to live. Healthy living and healthy eating habits are my main concern after years and years of doing the opposite. In practical terms, my goals are:
1. Drink 8 glasses of water a day
2. Maintain weight loss of 1 to 2 lbs/week
3. Eat 5 times/per day focusing on low carb and high fiber choices
4. Get strength training in 3 times/week, get about 30 minutes of cardio EVERYDAY

I hope to run a 5K someday. Right now it is a distant dream.

My Program:
My program is all about long term, sustainable healthy eating based on good, healthful habits. I am arming myself with knowledge and information. I am tracking everything I eat and tracking my fitness using Sparkpeople recommendations.

Personal Information:
I live in Southwestern Connecticut with my wonderful husband and our 2 sons. I work for a large consumer products company and I love what I do.

Other Information:
I live my life by a very simple motto... if God brings you to it, He will bring your through it. You may not be able to change the wind but you can always adjust your sails. I try to make the best out of any situation. My joy and energy comes from my family, from my friends, and my work. I enjoy New York Yankees baseball, cheering hard for my children at their baseball games. I enjoy entertaining, reading and Sparkpeople. I love the support I get from my Spark Friends.
