I have always been overweight, but now I am doing something about it. I have a cousin who is doing this with me. Even though we can't be together we can do this together.

I have come to the conclusion that Sparkpeople does work. But you have to have the initiative to follow it. I have tried hundreds of diets and never have I been as successful as with Sparkpeople. But I hardly ever cheat. If by chance I do have something off the wagon, I get right back on. And even most times I count the calories and stay below my minimum.

My Goals:
I would like to get to 180 at least.

On 3/24/08 I reached my first goal of 30 lbs. 10% of my weight, small steps right?

Now I am headed to 250......at which point I will have a goal of 25 lbs!

8/7/09 250 reached!

12/15/08 225 reached!

3/24/09 LOST 100 LBS!!!!!

5/29/09 200 reached! Slow but sure!!

10/11/09 I have looked it up and in order not to be considered overweight I have to be below 155, so have decided to get to 150, so that will be half my original size plus a few!

My Program:
Following Sparkpeople. Trying to add exercise to my normal routine.

M-W-F....initially at 300 cal per day at the gym. Now I am up to 400.

4-13-08 up to 500 calories at the gym. Takes me the same amount of time, so I must be getting quicker ;).

6/14/08 up to 600 cal at gym!

9/4/08 up to 700 calories at the gym!

Strength Training every other day!

And I nice relaxing bout in the sauna after my workout.

I live in WA. Am a single mom.

Other Information:
I love the Children's Earth Series. I am also very active with the church. I love to read Christian Fiction, the bible, and to my daughter.

    Hey Dee Dee. How are you doing? My new lower range is 1270-1620. It's down about 200 calories since I updated my weight. Plus I like being in an active BLC. I'm feeling a bit destructive. Otherwise I'm doing Okay. I hope all is well with you.

    DeeDee...I am so very proud of you! You have no idea how many times I run into people that have lost sight of their goal and I always tell them that YOU have lost over 150lbs, on your own! No surgery, no weekly meetings to attend...You, my cousin, are my hero and I know if my mom were still here with us, she would be your biggest fan! Lots of love to you!
