Welcome to the 300+team. 300 is such a BIG number but if we persevere, focus and motivate one another we can reach our goals!
We have so much of life ahead of us and it is so much better to work on ourselves and reach for our goals.
We can do it-- we are worth the effort!
All we can do is take it one day, one bite, one pound at a time.
I am looking forward to supporting you in your quest for better health and a happier future.

I agree with you about the Santa story. You would think a teacher would know better than to subject overweight children to that stuff. Just imagining myself as an overweight child in that class, I can almost feel a wave of embarrassment.

You have reminded me of what we do to ourselves with humor. There's almost an epidemic of self-deprecating fat humor, laughing AT ourselves, before someone else does. That's just another form of negative self-talk. I think I'll add a line about that to the blog.

    Thank you for your comment.
I read about the revolving door at the top of your page. I've done a lot of yoyo. I haven't had a gastric bypass; my best friend has. I know the weight can still ease back up. Are things going OK? Let me know if you need a sounding board.

Hey Lady, thanks for the encouragement. Reading over your spark page, I kind of get the idea that you are trying to do too much all at once. That is a good way to get burned out in a hurry. I know, cause I have done it numerous times...once I make up my mind to do something, I try to make it happen overnight. It just won't happen like that. Be patient with yourself, slow and steady wins the race. I will be watching and praying for your success in all ways. Edna
