Hello! Thank you so much for visiting my SparkPage. I turned 40 in 2009 so I want to make sure I'm as healthy as I can be. I need to make good food choices and exercise regularly.

My Goals:
My goal is to get down to 140 pounds. I saved a pair of acid-washed jeans (circa 1988) and I would LOVE to get into them--not necessarily wear them in public--just to get into them would be awesome.

I've completed seven half-marathons and I'm going to complete my first full marathon on May 1, 2011 in Lincoln, NE.

My Program:
Regarding exercise--I find that I really have to change things up a bit every so often. If I get bored, I lose interest and don't do it. In 2008, I took four eight-week sessions of boot camp at my gym. That "sparked" my running passion and I love hot yoga and kettlebells. Not sure what's next!

I aim for eight glasses of water a day and at least five servings of fruits/vegetables, too.

    How was your weekend? Hope you enjoyed the weather. I went back to my hometown - Norfolk, if you haven't heard of it, it's about 2 hours northwest of here. I had to work really hard not to eat too badly, they always have so much crap at our family functions! Oh well, I did pretty well, now I just need to carry my hard work from last week into this coming week. Thanks for the gold medal, you're always such a great motivator! Hope you have great week and keep on workin' it!

    Hope you a good weekend and didn't wilt in the heat. Today's cool off is a nice change. I'm working on getting myself more motivated to eat right and excercise at least five times a week. That's my mini goal this week, five workouts and only one dessert. The whole dessert thing is a tuff one for me, it's only Tuesday right?

    Hey, how was your weekend? I finally had a weekend were we didn't have to go anywhere or have company. It was so nice to finally get some things done around the house. Plus heavy house cleaning burns a lot of calories!

    Thanks for checking out my blog. Any encouragement I can get is always helpful! Congrats on the 16 pounds you already lost, that means your about half way there, yeah! I'm sure you'll get those last few in no time. Looks like if you spend any amount of time outside this week you'll sweat a few pounds right off! Have a great week and keep up the good work emoticon
