In no particular order activities that help me avoid gaining weight during stressful events.
1) Support from friends and family.
2) Logging on to Spark People daily.
3) Faith that every day I am succeeding in increments.
4) Eating a hearty salad with protein
5) Freezing 1/4 cup of juice in bottom of water bottle then adding water over the frozen juice. Yummm....I drink more water that way.
6) Walking Buddy The Dog every evening.
7) Visualizing cravings as little beasts. Telling them "no" they may not have sugar. That way I do not feel deprived.
8) Decluttering house. It's uplifting and fights cravings.
9) Gardening
10) Enjoying the sunshine.
11) Hearty vegetable and bean soup in a rainbow of colors.
12) Eliminating most wheat products from diet.
13) Juicing greens and mixing them in an organic protein slushy. Healthy sub for sugar and wheat snacks.
14) Yoga and PT in two minute increments around the house.
15) Water walking with good friend at the pool.

My Goals:
January 2021: I spiraled up after last entry in May. Then got back on the wagon in July and managed to lose 28 pounds. I have maintained that loss from Halloween through now despite the Holidays. Huge win in my book.

May 23, 2020 Must admit I have put more than half of the 50 pounds I lost back on, but the good news is that I have maintained at least a 20 pound loss since I lost the initial 50 pounds nine years ago. So that is still a win.

2017 Improve my health. Simplify my life. Pay lots of attention to the grandchildren. Walk 5K 4/8/17 I walked 5 5Ks in 2017 and took a cross country road trip with Buddy.
