    Wow! I can hear a subtle change in your 'voice' - it's starting to work! Good for you! Slowly, slowly, you'll make it - because you are choosing to do it. No need for giant strides because lots of little ones still will get you to the same place eventually, with a heck of a lot more fun and friendship on the way than rattling along at breakneck speed, and missing all the tips and inspiration in your haste to get there!

    Please don't forget to make little Beta's environment happy too - things to swim in and under, etc. I'm really really pleased he/she/it is bringing you calmness so please remember to repay him with the same. (Aw, I can't help it, I'm just critter passionate and that's one thing I definitely cannot change!)

    I'm looking forward to the next instalment of growing commitment and success. Until then...

    A quick note to say.a big 'Thank you' for my pretty pretty rose - it is going to bring me a huge amount of pleasure, especially as it won't stab my fingers when I hold it and I won't have to bother about Rose Black Spot, mildew or greenfly!! Tee hee. You are so sweet to think of me, I am truly touched.

    I am so pleased that you are having a better day today - don't take on more than you can handle, it'll overwhelm you and set you right back. Not exercising formally can wait, there's no Act of Parliament been passed to say we all have to go at everything like bulls in china shops! As the saying goes, "Slowly, slowly, catchee monkey!"

    I promised to share a breakfast tip so thought that I'd write it here for others to see, too. I learned this from an abortive attempt on the Dukan Diet - actually, I do rate the diet, but at the time I was a piscatarian, having been vegetarian for some years then adding fish back into my diet. On the Dukan I was in danger of growing gills so fell off the plan, hence the complex story about how I magically found SP. ANYWAY, the most amazing thing I got from Dr Dukan was the miracle of oat bran - not oat meal, proper oat BRAN. I make it in his recipe for galettes, a fancy term for a yummy pancake thingy, and BOY dose it stop the cravings! And it's low cal too, full of fibre. Ingredients: 150gm 0% Greek yoghurt, 1 egg, 10 - 20gms oat bran, 6 - 8 tsps of that powdery sugar substitute, we have Slendasweet over here, amongst others, but it's that really light low cal stuff. Mix all of those together into a gloop. Put 1 tsp veg. oil into a small pan and wipe it around with a piece of kitchen paper so the pan is coated and not dried out. Pour in the gloop before heating the pan, and put pan onto a medium heat. Now, keep checking the pancake bottom - you can either try to turn the pancake or put the pan under the grill (broiler? not sure) to cook the topside. when the base is done. Turn onto a plate when the pancake looks nicely toasted on both sides and either eat as is, or with more yoghurt mixed with a little more sweetener, with or without a couple of drops of essence to taste - vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, lemon?? - or with some fruit added and mixed in. Blueberries are great but it's your choice. Track the ingredients separately and play around with the quantities to suit - BUT BUT BUT, the oat bran is a miracle and it really does help. If I haven't time to cook the galette, I omit the egg and just 'sghooz-up' (OK, mix madly!) the ingredients and eat as my own home-made fruit yoghurt. 0% Greek yoghurt is fantastic as a base for so many things, use your imagination and it'll be your saviour in times of temptation! And the oatbran... well, it's the goddess of useful foods!

    I know you've been a member of "Fall Down Seven, Get Up Eight" for awhile, but wanted to stop by and let you know that we've added some great stuff. We have new team goals, some new threads, and a ton of motivating stuff!

    If there is something you want added or changed with the team, let me know...I would really love to get all the "old" members participating again! I hope to see you on the boards.
