Hello from Costa Rica!
This is a Costa Rican, living in Costa Rica ;-))

The wonderful friends I've made through Spark Teams keep me motivated. Though I'm always in a constant battle with my weight, I can say I've learned what's good for my health and what works for me not only from SparkPeople's wonderful information, excellent blogs, and superb tools but from these well-organized challenges (5%, BL, and BLC seasonal challenges).
These challenges have made this lifelong difficult journey towards a healthier me, into a more joyful one.

For the sake of my knees screaming 'lose weight, please!', I'm going to try to lose weight. Doctors suggestion also.

My Goals:
To reach my normal BMI and stay there.


My Program:
*Exercise commitment:
A combination of walking, stretching yoga, and some ST for a total of 60 to 120 m every day from 5 to 6 days a week.
*Nutrition Commitment
To eat as healthy as possible within my calorie range to lose weight using SP.



Personal Information:
I live in Grecia, Alajuela, Costa Rica, in the mountains (at an altitude of 4757 ft). I'm 62 and married for 43 years. Three grown children that are already gone, and four precious grandkids. I help my DD with her two kids (she has a full-time job). I'm in charge of the well-being of my elderly mom with advanced vascular dementia, she's being cared for in a home.
My first SparkFriend on this page is my daughter and my granddaughter Desiree quite some time ago.


Other Information:
Besides my family, I enjoy my daily routine of walking, usually 1 to 2 hours, with walking buddies or doggies. I also like to care for my pets, 4 dogs - 3 cats, knitting, Sparking, reading, watching movies or TV series. I also love to travel overseas when possible.

    yes the park is in our down town for many years it was train station parking lots and ..
    in 1974 it the site of Expo 74 site of the worlds fair . now its called River front park . the is now undergoing a huge remodel won't be done until 2023 due to the virus .
