emoticon As cold as this winter has been, I'd stay living in the SE. I'm in Pensacola, Fl and it was an awful 22 here this morning. Way colder than I care for.
I had read that a lot of people have the Gastric Sleeve and they manage to drink milkshakes called "sliders" and they can manage to not lose weight. Roseanne the Comedian, had GBP and said she never lost anything because she ate small meals 24/7.
I'm 68 and had gone to a doctor at 186# and he told me "At your age you can't expect to lose weight since you have Metabolic Syndrome."
I found an anti-aging doctor , Ward Dean M.D.(look him up on YouTube as he has a good talk about his career and anti-aging.)
He said "At 115 you don't have diabetes and the other doctor was right that it starts at 126, but you are close enough." He put me on Metformin, a weekly shot of Bydureon, Armour Thyroid and Acarbose that I take with meals. I dropped 36# in two months. I then fell in June and broke my leg so I've been dealing with that since, but this morning I was 150# when I got on the scale. I no longer have night cravings, and I plan to drop another 20#.
I do hope you have a good doctor to work with. Even Metabolic Syndrome can be so damaging to our health. As my Aunt said who was 85 "People say you have to die from something, but they don't realize that you can suffer for years in pain before you do." She had CHF.
