Yes, I did all the stuff below, but I backslid a bit - not to worry, I am back at it! My new goal is to lose the weight (again!) by August of 2012! Anything is possible if I persevere.

Hello! I have been on this journey for a full year, lost 55 pounds and IT FEELS GREAT! My motto is, Never, never NEVER give up! You can do it!!! If I can, with my health problems, trust me, you can too! Just know you can. Never doubt this for an instant. Don't ever let anyone, or any group, tell you otherwise.

I am a 48 year young mother of 2 and I am so glad to have found Sparkpeople. I believe we can experience multiple lifetimes in one physical life. I know I have! My highest weight in January of 2010 was over 210 lb (yikes!).

Everybody tells me they cannot believe I lost over 50 pounds, or that I was "that" overweight, but let me tell you, if you cannot breathe and tie your shoes at the same time, it's time to MAKE A CHANGE!!

That was me. Out of shape, in pain all the time, and fat. And I never was fat my entire life. What a bummer.

No more. I work out with weights and cardio 3 times a week religiously. I push myself. I want to break a personal best every time I step into the gym.

I add fun stuff like hiking and bike riding whenever I have the time.

Right now I am so close to goal that getting the last few pounds off is very hard! My body is screaming for food, like bread and stuff! I don't listen (mostly). I stay on my exercise plan to succeed and my food plan to strengthen and nourish my body.

My goal is to get to my goal weight of 150 by Spring of 2011. I want to wake up my latent exhibitionist tendencies, LOL and show it off with some bad outfits this summer.

The best part is I am getting in shape. Using your body as it was meant to be used truly is the fountain of youth! The capacity is within you all the time. Don't look for it somewhere else.

My goal is not only get the weight off, but to have a buff, muscled physique that I keep for good! Pretty good for a formerly sick couch potato!

My heroes are Tosca Reno and Rachel Cosgrove. I urge you to check out anything they have written. Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle, an eBook by Tom Venuto is my Bible. Check it out! Also I love Oxygen and Muscle and Fitness Hers Magazines.

My Goals:
My initial goals were just to get moving and lose the weight, but now I want to become strong and test my limits. Why not?

I also learned my lesson about calorie restriction. No more! I lost 55 lb. the "first time," but surprise, surprise, I gained it all back because I was starving all the time. I'm so over that!

I want to become much stronger and have more endurance so I can reach out and enjoy all life has to offer.

Looking great is a side benefit. I'm vain...aren't we all?

My Program:
Following a Raw Till 4 lifestyle: plenty of fruits and vegetables until dinner. Cooked carbs, veggies and other good things for dinner, easy on the salt and refined stuff.

No processed foods and junk! If I couldn't, in theory, pick it, gather it, or milk it, I won't eat it!

135-180 minutes of cardio a week and 3 days of weight training a week.

Stretching after cardio and I try to stretch and foam roll another day or do yoga to keep supple.

My husband is a lifelong beekeeper, and I am a candlemaker by trade. Together we make a living selling what we make and grow.
