I began my WW journey 9/28/2012. I was 339 pounds and needed a walker to get around. I was totally hopeless! I can remember standing in my shower attempting to wash myself and my back, legs, knees hurt so bad. I was so scared of slipping and falling because I was unable to get myself back up.

When I started WW in 2012 I was a bit leery, as my first try at WW in 2006 started out very good. I lost around 50-60 pounds and then Thanksgiving came and I experienced my very first gain. After that gain, that was it, I yo-yo-ed and eventually just stopped going.

I spoke to my leader about my first experience so I believe that helped me out immensely with much of my all or nothing thinking.
I was very successful my first 2 years! First of all, I fell in love with tracking. I measured and learned all about correct portions. I lost 100 pounds that first year! That first year brought me so many changes. No more walker! I now used a cane. I was able to sit in any chair. I didn't have to worry about fitting in a bus seat or squishing the person sitting next to me. And a major NSV was being able to take care of my husband who had a stroke.

The second year went slower. When I hit the 150 pounds lost milestone i was so happy! I felt so good and was looking forward to continue on to goal. Then life came along and threw me that curveball. My 20 year old daughter had a stroke! It knocked me off of my momentum. And know that I reflect back, my all or nothing personality took over. This was the point where I started yo-yoing.

At my highest weightless point, I had lost 157 pounds. Over the past 2 years I have regained (as of this writing) 21 pounds. This is such a blow to my confidence. I have not gave up. I go to every single meeting. AndI do follow the plan but, there is that but there! Tracking is sloppy and there are days when it is non existent.

My WW leader quit working for WW and is in training to be a wellness coach. I am still doing WW too but just putting one more tool in my toolbox.

    Hi Steph,
I haven't made the fluff dessert yet either...but it sure sounds good, doesn't it?
I do see the fat free sugar free cheesecake pudding is available on Amazon.com, so it does exist! I am wondering about one of the larger stores, like Walmart or Meijer's!
Let me know if you find it and what you think once you make it! Would love the feedback!
Have a great rest of the week...hope you're feeling better!
    Hugs,
    Mary

    Hi Steph!
Thanks for adding me as a friend! I just added you, too!
I just know you can kick that 21 pounds back off and be back on track! I, too, used to be all or nothing...but due to SparkPeople I really got my answer in the mindset this is a lifestyle, not a diet! There's no special day, week, month etc to start and there is no end. As this is the way we will LIVE! I never understood that before! If I eat something that wasn't a great choice then the next snack or meal is where I go from and make a better choice! I have worked around so many obstacles over the last 6 years! I have lost a total of just over 150 pounds, as I started to lose before I found Spark! I still have 50-60 pounds to go and I have no doubt I will make that goal! It will come off and I will reach my goal and learn to maintain it, as it's the same principal!
Hoping you have a great week! We are a journey to health!
    Hugs,
    Mary
