"The past does not define you ,the present does." — Jillian Michaels

My past is just that....the past.

My journey started a few years ago.
210 pounds and just not liking how I look I changed my eating habits and started working out. Along the way I fell in love with TurboKick and Zumba leading me to become and instructor. The weight started sliding off....sadly at the same time my marriage started sliding as well and ended in 2011.

I paused for a while. My head was spinning and I didn't know which way to go. I started back to self destructive habits such as cutting and the road of binge/purge as well as not eating. For a long while I pretended to be fine to all those around me but when alone I knew I wasn't. I needed to heal and had to take the time to get my life back in order.
I did.

I stopped the self destruction, moved away from the memories and restarted my life and my dedication to being healthy the Right way.

In 2012 I did my first Obstacle Course Race, the Warrior Dash Indiana, and I was hooked HOOKED! I eventually ended up on a team of other enthusiasts, the Corn Fed Spartans, and 2013 did 12 races, 2014 over 20, and this year I'm going above and beyond!

It's now about staying fit and healthy. I need to get myself in the best shape of my life in order to reach race goals that I want! SP helped me before when I was losing and now I'm back to lose a little and to rock out being healthy!

That's my very long story....more to come as I grow!

Thanks for the comment on my page. I just set out to loose a bit of weight and get in shape, funny how a little change in direction can take on a life of its own.

I wish we could go to Turbo class together! :) I wonder if I will get addicted...if they had a class at 7am I for sure would be, but they are all in the evening and that is not my preferred time to be at the gym!!

It was superfun, the only part I didn't like were the breaks!! And the fast paced "turbo" part in the middle wasn't long enough!! I wanted to keep doing it! :)

    Have a wonderful weekend darlin'!
