Fitness Minutes: 295

My Goals:
I am at a crossroad in my life. About to become truly and empty nester and approaching my husbands retirement years. My main goal at this point, is well-being in mind, body and spirit. My secret goal is to be able to shop in my favorite vintage clothing store for ME!

My Program:
My eating plan is to make good food choices, eat the proper portions, and be mindful of what I eat. My exercise plan is doing the things that come naturally to me. I am NOT a gym bunny, but I do enjoy walking. It is very meditative for me. So, I will begin with walking and work up to running. I am an ever evolving woman and my plan will also evolve with me. Life is good! I am so thankful for all that I have. It is my mission to celebrate life and all it's gifts.

Personal Information:
I'm married to my high school sweetie. We've been together since 1978. We have 3 grown daughter's. One married and living nearby; one living out of state, but soon moving back to her home state; and one starting her last semester of college. So, we've been practicing how to be empty nesters. Let me tell you, it has it's pros and cons!

I left a job in retail a year ago and have since been a housewife. I guess you could say I took an early retirement without the benefits. However, there are definitely nemerous personal benefits!

My two youngest daughter's are both getting married in the next 18 months. One in November of 2015 and the other in May of 2016. So, my new motivation is "Sheddin' for the Weddin's!"

There a lot of exciting, new things on the horizon for my family and I am looking forward to enjoy them to the fullest!

Other Information:
I have a million hobbies and not enough hours in the day to pursue them. Another way I hope to achieve a healthier lifestyle is to make time for my creative side. It seems we get so caught up in doing what we should, that we never find time to do what we WANT! I plan to make time each day to do something I WANT! So, those hobbies? Sewing, home decorating, reading, cross stitch, gardening, crafting in general, cooking, eating, thrifting, and garage sale scouring! I would love to find a way to make one of my hobbies earn some extra $!

    Hi Tammy! Since TOPS didn't work out, I've decided to have meetings at my place. As of now, we will be meeting on Sunday mornings. I think about 11am but that's not final yet. Let me know if Sunday works for you and if so, what time your prefer. Our first meeting will be on the 21st, I think.
