ournal_individual.asp?blog_id=67256992020 may have been a bad year in a lot of ways, but I can't believe I've been able to keep up an exercise streak of 152 days. Don't lnow that I've even done 7 days in a row before this. Couldn't have done it without SparkPeople!Posted a photoBaby steps!Getting one of these tomorrow. Doesn't seem like the best timing, does it? Wondering why SP doesn't have "stress test" listed as a fitness activity? ;-)Can anyone recommend a good team or challenge for decluttering? Thanks!Just for fun. Not quitting!has reached 200 days straight of exercising every day!Words of encouragement! :-)Lentil soup and black bean/turkey chili to keep us going for the next several days.Have you ever avoided weighing yourself because you were sure you'd gained a lot of weight? I've been doing that but finally decided I'd better take a look. What a surprise: Not only have I gone down, but I've finally lost 10lbs!
This is since rejoining in August 2020.finally lost 10 pounds!!!Wow, my husband was going to bring home Wendy's new fish sandwich--until I read him the nutrition label: 530 calories, 26 grams of fat, 80 cholesterol, 1190 sodium, 51 carbs.
I was so happy when he decided he'd come home and we'd have the salmon burgers we had planned on first!I promise, I'm not selling anything, but if you suffer from anxiety and are interested in an online program to help, I found out that one I was already going to sign up for myself is half price until Feb. 26. If you live in the Southern U.S. as we do, you may want to find a new storage place for your soft-sided pet carriers. My birthday today! I have been drinking water almost entirely for the past year or two, but today I got a virgin margherita. It was quite delicious after all that plain water. While I was holding the empty cup and contemplating how I could make it at home with no added sugar, one of the employees thought I was wishing I had more and brought me another! :-)First one at the gym today. Have to work off birthday indulgences. :-)Spent 2 hours trying to save what's left of my pansies from those wascally wabbits! Hope you'll check it out!is ecstatic over losing 12 pounds!!!Words of encouragement to those who find the weight is not coming off (esp in the 50+ age group): it has taken 6 months for me to lose 12 pounds. That would have discouraged me when I started, but I'm ecstatic about it today. Wrote a blog post about if you're interested.Updated the "Quick Ham and Lentil Soup" recipe I posted yesterday. The servings were too low and the sodium too high. So the calories and sodium content went way down with the adjustment. Your mileage will vary depending on whether you make your own beef stock. Then the sodium will go down even further. Hope you'll give it a try!
pe-detail.asp?recipe=3594989New physical therapist cheered up this overweight 59-year-old by asking if I had been a gymnast. It's a hilarious thought for a woman who was always the worst at everything sports-related. He asked because I could do this stretch that none of the other young PTs could do. Made my day! Finally found a great charity to give my fabric stash to! (All bought for making masks.) A local woman started a charity to make clothes for poor women and children and now they also items to help those with cancer.
Makes me feel as good as losing another 10 pounds!Going through a lot of physical therapy for my knees, I have to do bridges every day. And since I'm only a third of the way to my goal, I don't want to buy too many clothes at my present size. Any advice?I was happy to find that after 4 months of physical therapy, my leg strength has finally improved. I started out at 50lbs for the inner/outer thigh machine. This is just one package of bone-in chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, lemon slices, whole garlic, and fresh thyme. 60 minutes at 375 degrees until 165 internal temp. I'm hoping that my experience may encourage other newbies not to give up. Believe me, if I can do it, so can you!To all Newbies: I just hit 100 days of tracking food, water, and exercise! Believe me, if I can do it, so can you!
My advice: don't take a day off until you have absolutely no choice. I've had sick days where I still managed 10 minutes of gentle stretching. For me, I was afraid that if I took a day off, I would be tempted to make it 2 days, or 3 days, and so on.has exercised and tracked food/water for 100 days straight!completed a 90-day streak for logging in, daily exercise, and food tracking!Determined I would start walking outside 5 days a week. Climbing up a hill I really didn't want to climb, I also didn't want to run into any of my neighbors. But a big guy in pajamas waited at his mailbox until I got to his house and then asked me, "Are you struggling?" All I could get out was a yes, but I should have replied, "No, not at all. Why do you ask?"is going to TRY walking outside 5 or more days a week.
