Weight Loss Stalled, Fitness Up...Discouraged

Wednesday, April 01, 2009

How many times has this issue been memorialized in print here!

It's been almost two weeks and the weight has not really moved at all...was hoping to get down to 210 lbs. for the upcoming Myrtle Beach SC RV trip scheduled for April 18th, so I guess there's time. I've been at or below the caloric intake required on SP for all this time.

Still motivated on the fitness level, so that's a good benefit of SP for sure.

I keep reading of this plateau issue, and that eventually the pounds will continue to drop, so I'll be waiting patiently!

I've made my "view my nutrition and fitness logs" available on my Spark page, upper right is the button...if you have any comments or suggestions, please give them.

Plateaus are so very discouraging and often the breaking point for people. It's easy to throw your hands up and quit, but I suspect you are not one of THOSE people! As the others have said, too few calories are as bad or worse than too many. I'll check your nutrition logs and see if I can come up with something better than stick it out, this too will pass.

I have adjusted my fitness/caloric intakes, and don't think I need more calories...we'll see how it goes.

Clothes are fitting looser, down almost two belt notches.

I guess I need to just keep going the way I am...going to reduce calories a little the rest of the week and see what Sunday weigh in brings.

I was stalled for a bit too and found out I was not eating enough (I was at WW before I came here), once I added about 200 more calories a day, started losing again. Hard to believe you have to eat more to lose weight :). All so if you are building muscle it weighs more than fat. How are your clothes fitting? You could try adding 10 or 15 more minutes to your exercise program. It is so hard to be patient when you are working so hard to reach your goal. You still have time before your trip. I'll be rooting for you! emoticon Keep us posted. emoticon

Have you taken a look at whether or not you are logging more fitness minutes than SP has set you up for based on the number of calories that you are eating? If you are burning a significant amount of calories more than SP thinks you should (based on your goals), it is possible that you may not be eating enough. This happened to me. I adjusted my SP fitness calories burned, and that adjusted the number of calories that I am suppose to eat. (higher by 200-500 per day)Since then, the weight is coming off more steadily. Hang in there!!
