****a little surprise was waiting..****

Wednesday, May 06, 2009

last night after i got off of spark i went into our sons room to check on him b4 going to bed(i do this every night).i walk in there with my little flashlight, everything is normal..getting closer to the crib i see a diaper on the floor,ok so i pick it up,put it on the changing table.i turn around what do i see?..our sons little plump white tush sticking up in the air!! lmfao!! emoticonmy little monster took off his diaper then fell asleep.i had to wake him up,to change his bed..and u know the rest.had to share that little story with ya.
ok so my hubby comes home tomorrow,he has plans for me for mothers day.i love his little dates.but this time it will be different i dont eat like i use to,he wants to go to dinner.so heres my plan.
he loves mexican food..also loves applebees(dont know if i spelled that right).i will tell him ..NO BUFFETS.where ever we go,i will order me a salad with maybe some grilled chicken in it broccoli &tomatoes, and of course my diet pepsi,i have to limit myself to that right now..b/c i know i am not strong enough yet to eat something else, and watch my portion..not if its at a restaurant.if im still hungry when we get home i have plenty of things to eat here.
so at the movies..instead of munching on their buttery popcorn, and candy.i will sneak in one of my strawberry granola cereal bars.
if anyone has any tips for eating at a restaurant without going to far..let me know.i welcome all suggestions.its b/c of my spark family i have lost 34 pounds, and went down a shirt & pants size..yay go me! emoticon
ok i am done blabbing on for now.good night, god bless..christina

I know all about crib surprises. Mine use to drop the diaper & draw pretty pictures on the wall - I'm sure you can guess what they were drawn with!

Grilled chicken ro shrimp are good low fat choices & most restaurant have them.

If you go for Mexican, order the chicken fajitas - it's usually the lowest calorie thing on the menu but don't add sour cream or guacamole

Hi, I'm new to the Terrible 2's group and saw your blog. My husband and I woke up with our 2 year old in our bed with his cheeks just beaming LOL! Don't u just love when they do that? Thank goodness there was no mess to clean up!

Your son is so cute! I agree with the other's suggestions, and will add one of my own. If you go somewhere where they don't have smaller portions, ask for a take-home box as soon as your food comes out and transfer 1/2 of your meal to the box. When you're finished with what's on your plate you're done and you already have your meal boxed up and ready to go.

    Have a great day!

Applebee's is a great choice. Not only do they have weight watchers entrees on their menu but they also have "perfect portions"!! These are scaled down portions which I love!! My kids laugh at me when we go out to eat because I will order from the senior menu. Same food, smaller portions. Or you can ask for a lunch size portion. You will find that most restaurants will work with you on any of these suggestions.

Have fun on your date!! emoticon

I like Applebees but I am a Mexican girl at heart. When I go to the local Mexican restaurant I order a kids meal or I cut everything in half and usually don't eat the whole half. I find 1/3 of a regular meal at a Mexican restaurant leaves me full and doesn't blow my diet. Either way with a little planning you'll be ok. Enjoy your meal and maybe do an extra 30 minutes of cardio so that you don't feel guilty enjoying yourself.

Babies do the darnest things. lol

Sounds like you're in for a delightful date with your hubby; I rarely go out to eat; but Applebee's sounds like a winner. Have fun, eat healthy.

ROFLMAO about your son...My kids have done that to me too. Way to go on the weight loss!

If you go to dinner at Applebee's, they have the weight watcher's meals...which are not bad at all...with all the caloric breakdowns printed right on the menu. Gotta love Applebee's.
