I promised a couple of my Spark friends I would make this blog.
So if any of this helps ANYONE I will feel blessed
My plateau lasted a whopping 2.5 months!!
I mean I was working out HARD!!
At least 1 hour 6 days a week(cardio).
Strength trained 3 days(toning,weights,resistance band).
But each weigh in came and went..The
became my enemy.I was obsessed with it!
I tried a few things..(I'm NOT saying NONE of this works,it just didn't work for me)
Calorie Cycling-Fasting-Increasing my cardio-Changing up my routine
I would look on the internet for FAST ways to lose weight
Which I'm so upset with myself for doing.
Still 2.5 months later I'm not losing weight,OR inches.Or noticing improvements in anyway.
So I was Sparking when I realized I could SOOOO look back at my progress reports.I track EVERYTHING so I knew it was pretty close to being accurate.
First I looked at when I was consistently losing..Not only pounds,but inches as well.
Then I would open a NEW window so I could compare that with how many calories I was consuming..To my fitness minutes.
It was like a
went off!! It was ALL right there.And it made sense.
So the conclusion was to go back to basics!!
What Spark says is what I do!!
I cut back on my workouts..
I noticed I HATED to exercise.I use to love it.
BUT as soon as I turned into this ugly person obsessed with the number on the scale I dreaded exercising.
I had to make it fun again.
So now I'm back to working out 30 min everyday.I think of it as improving "ME"..If I sit and think.."Oh I DO NOT want to do this"..Chances are I wont!
But since I look at it a different way,and hey its only 30 min.I am up and at it!!
Sometimes 30 min turns into 45min.What I'm saying is I enjoy it again.Its no longer a chore.
As for food.NO more cycling..Its just not for me.I stay in my ranges that Spark gives(try to stay on the low end).
Lowered my exercise..Eat what Spark recommends.Like I said
"Back to basics"
And BOOM!! Ya BABY I stepped on that scale and Like magic I was down 2 pounds!!
AND an inch off my waist!
So I guess maybe even though I have lost SOOO much weight (306-228 lbs) Maybe I got lost along the way.Forgetting that I'm creating a "Healthy Lifestyle".And I'm not gonna get there by trying to lose pounds FAST.
Once I tried quick fixes,It didn't take me long to forget all the SIMPLE LITTLE things Spark had taught me before.
So if you start to get lost along the way.And nothing seems to help..Just try going back to basics
People want to change..I want to change.Sometimes I yell at myself,because if I want to see a change on that scale,or inches,or just the way I feel..I must do it!! No ONE can do this for me!!
You don't get something for nothing.
Sorry for rambling on.This might sound meaningless to some..But hey it worked for me!
Lets hope when the next plateau comes along it doesn't take me 2.5 months to figure it out,lol!
