Many of you know I used to blog my workouts a few months ago, but I stopped doing it. One of my goals for the New Year is to do it again, because it really helped me, knowing somebody else was looking over my shoulder, so to speak, and keeping me accountable.
So here we go, we went to the gym today, 1/1/11, which was a great thing! No excuses, time to get back into the groove!
My plan was mainly to do cardio, which I rarely do but I had really been hitting it hard the past week. After sorta goofing off due to business reasons over the holiday season, getting back to the regular gym routine made me super sore. So I didn't want to kill myself in the weight room today.
Treadmill, 3.7 to 4.0 MPH, 31 minutes, 185 calories burned
Stationary bike, level 14-24, 35 minutes, 283 calories burned.
TOTAL, 66 minutes, 468 calories burned.
One-arm DB Row: 27 lb., 2 sets of 8, 1 set of 6
BB Good Mornings: 45 lb. bar, 3 sets of 8
Smith machine lunges, bodyweight plus whatever the machine bar weighs unloaded, maybe 15-20 lb: 3 sets of 8 ea. side
Leg-ups on Captain's Chair: 3 sets of 8
At this point DH walks in; he is done and showered already and how long would I be? Normally, an interruption like this would be annoying, but like I said I was so sore I was sure I had done enough. So that was it for today.
We had planned a nice little mini-banquet for dinner today. While standing in the kitchen fixing that after the workout, my legs were SO SORE they felt like they might collapse under me. So I definitely did enough!!
I hope to blog my, well, not resolutions, but plans I want to send out to the universe to make my goals manifest, whatever you want to call that, LOL, in my next blog.
