The view from my home

I know everyone loves to see how others live, so I maybe I can start a trend?? I'll show you mine, and maybe you can show me yours, LOL??
I am starting by sharing some beautiful photos I took with my phone soon after I woke up yesterday.
The weather was crisp and clear, temperature, somewhere in the mid-20s. This is the view from my back porch.
The mountain is Mt. McLaughlin (called Mt. Pitt by old-timers hereabouts). It's kind of hard to see in these; it's in the middle with the bit of wispy cloud over the peak.
Its elevation is 9495 ft. and is one of the Cascade mountains, which include Mt. Shasta, Mt Hood, Mt St. Helens, Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainer and on and on. Mt. McLaughlin is about 30 miles away as the crow flies. We love to hike up around there. My goal is to climb the summit one day.
Our pond with the ducks looking for a handout!
The mountains in the far far distance are actually in California, about 50 miles away.
You have to understand the context of my joy at the clear day. The pix above are from yesterday.
This is today:
Big difference, huh, quite the mood-buster...
Hope you enjoyed!
