Crying Uncle - gotta be consistent!

Thursday, January 13, 2011

I look back on 2010 and realize something pretty darn horrible. I had minor fluctions of a few pounds up/down, but the end result was I maintained - have not lost any significant weight for ONE YEAR. That is disgusting. No, I didn't gain anything of note -- but with a lap band that's hard to do (for me, anyway). I am not a large fan of slider foods so I don't gravitate towards the ice creams or sodas...

And so, today, I am starting over. Crying uncle. I am going to concentrate on doing 100% liquids for next two weeks - just like I did pre-surgery in April of 2009. I have a fill scheduled with Dr. F. at the end of the month.

I pulled out my old post-surgery nutrition guide and following it to the letter, once these two weeks are done. AND I need to be consistent with exercise. That's the only thing that is going to move these fat deposits on my body.

Good luck in your efforts to get the scale to start moving again. I actually began 2011 about the same weight I did 2010 also. Sometimes I think my body is telling me it likes it here. I'm not going back to the pre-op and post-op diets but I am going to get a fill and try to get back to basics.....tracking everything and staying away from so many carbs. We can do this together.
