Mixing it up

So, yesterday I made it to the fitness class. It was YoFit which is more like yoga than anything really. Lots of strength poses and core conditioning, well that’s what the guide said anyway. So, it was good to do and I can definitely feel that my knee (I have broken it and had to have 3 surgeries a while back) is stronger and I am able to kneel which is a big plus from the last time I tried yoga. It did get a bit sore and some of the poses I found pretty difficult. I don’t think it’s going to provide me with the fat burning type of exercise I need so I think I will try the Circuit training class next week – and go to the correct location!
I didn’t get up with the alarm for my 10 minute workout DVD this morning, I will tomorrow though. I will do some wii fit or biggest loser when I get home tonight, after we’ve picked up our new washer dryer set.
I’ve not yet done any additional writing – my new goal was to do just two lots of 15 minutes in addition to the 1 hour a week. I do have my “The Writer” magazine with me so I hope to find an inspirational exercise and perhaps I can sneak 15 minutes of writing in at work, instead of reading in the lunch room.
I’m currently reading The Glass Castle and am finding it an amazing story but will have to keep it for the bus journey home today!
So far the weekend is looking clear of temptation. I will have some drinks no doubt but hopefully it will be a relatively quiet night, with some wii games and some walking. I’ve signed up for the Virtual 5K walk in April and have 3 new training targets for the next week to do. These shouldn’t be too difficult as we often go for huge walks at weekends. I just have to do them in addition to my current exercise to get more benefit from doing it, rather than just doing it instead of what I’m currently doing.
Anyway, time to put my Lean Cuisine in the microwave and open “The Writer”.
