0.4kgs down!

It was weigh in day today – and I lost 0.4kgs (which is 0.9lbs). Not bad considering that it’s “that time”. It just means that I can try harder in the other weeks to make up the 0.6kgs over the course of the next month. Hopefully I can continue to do well.

I am committed. I am strong. I will do this.

Yesterday I went for dinner with a friend. I chose from the healthy options menu, and had a creamy chicken curry which was 610 calories. A little large for one meal but no dessert and no drinks other than water. I planned for it in the day and cut a snack so I was still around my regular calorie intake for the day.

We also went into a book store and both bought “How not to look old” – as we both decided we need some styling tips! I showed her “The Spark” but she’s not ready for it yet. Soon, I hope! It would be great to share the journey with her.

I’m at work today but am thinking I might leave early. It’s not as busy as expected so hopefully it will be OK. My boss isn’t in today so it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s a bit quiet so I might just look online for some good children’s lunch box books and some new cookbooks... I’m struggling to get the girls to eat their lunch. Unsurprisingly they are OK with snack times, and usually eat fruit straps, crackers and fig rolls but they often leave most of their “main course” or sandwiches. They also leave quite a lot of their dinners. What works one day, doesn’t a couple of days later and it’s driving me crazy!
