BLC17 Weekend Challenge Results

Since we are heading in to BLC17, what better than the B L C 1 7 Challenge!

B: Bite it, write it...Track every calorie consumed 5 points
L: Lift it: Strength training (10 min/day) 5 points per 10 minutes, max 15 points/day
C: Cardio (20 minutes/day) 5 points per 20 minutes, max 15 points/day
1: Leave a comment on 1 fellow BLC'ers page 5 points per comment, max 10 points/day
7: 7 cups of water a day 5 points

Max points per day: 50

Tracking template:
B: F(5) S(0) S() Went way over on calories on Sat but tracked them! Lost count tracking on Sunday but I think I stayed within my range (but as I wasn't tracking, perhaps I didn't... = 5
L: F(5) S(5) S(5) = 15
C: F(15) S(15) S(15) = 45
1: F(10) S(10) S(10) =30
7: F(5) S(5) S(5) = 15

TOTAL: 105

So, overall not too bad. It was just my tracking again that was a fail. I went out for dinner on Saturday night and had too much wine. The combination pushed me over my points. On Sunday we went to a friend's for a BBQ. I took my own lean burger which would have helped but over all I would have consumed too many calories at dinner... there was cake and I was weak. I only had a little piece but still, I should have just said no.

Now that the challenge is starting I will say no to cake next time! I just made a Clean Eating Chocolate Orange Almond infused cake which is OK but a little dry. I will ration it and only eat a sensible sized portion maximum per day. I'm going to freeze some into individual portions too, to take to work.

I found out that I am in the Pink Vikings team - which is awesome as I just bought the Viking charm for my Pandora bracelet. It was a treat for completing the half marathon. I'm excited to start the challenge and look forward to making some new friends along the way, in addition the the new ones I met in the Withering-A-Weigh training camp team.

The challenge is great timing as in week 12 I have my second half marathon. Hopefully the combination of the two will increase my success. I have seen some good results in the past couple of weeks since starting the BLC training so I hope to continue.

Old Navy had a sale this weekend, buy one get one free on their famous jeans. I bought a pair - one size smaller than the pair I wear now (which are a bit loose) and another one size smaller again! I hope to wear those by the end of the year!

    Woohoo - congratulations on joining the challenge - I actually contacted the team leader but never heard back and the next challenge is in spring or I would have signed on as well! Good luck :). emoticon

    wow that cant be a coincidence you got the viking charm and are in the viking team, I think the universe is saying your about to rock this challenge emoticon

    You're doing great, kudos for continuing to track even when you were over, I totally stop when I know I'm over.

    Yay for smaller clothes too!
