Crossing my fingers

It’s a quiet day at work... so I thought I’d put my fingers to keys (as opposed to pen to paper) and write a blog.
The weekend just gone was the 70s challenge weekend for BLC17. Overall I did OK for points, although my eating was not great. I didn’t track from Friday afternoon to Monday morning and I over ate... and ate the wrong things. We went camping. I am weak. I had some wine too, although as usual, afterwards I don’t know why I bothered. It’s nice to drink it, I know. The flavour is nice.. but it’s not really doing anything for me these days. I know when I go to Australia I will drink more... and I will eat the wrong things but hopefully I can eat less... smaller portions and try to pick healthier options when they are available. It is our big holiday and I am looking forward to it.
However, Air Canada are reporting that there may be strike action. We are flying with Air Canada. Hopefully they will not go on strike next Wednesday, or three weeks later! My fingers are crossed.
I weighed myself today... I was down 0.1kgs again, which is about 0.2lbs... Not a great loss but still, it is in the right direction. It showed a gain yesterday morning... so fingers crossed it will stay as a loss tomorrow for weigh in day.
There is also a challenge for my Divas team which I am looking forward to. I’m hoping the combination will help to boost my weight loss efforts AND keep me a bit more honest in Australia.
Last night I switched on the Wii for the first time in 4 months! That’s shocking. I had no idea it was so long. Anyway, I put in the Zumba game and me and the girls had some fun doing Zumba. I did about 25 minutes of that (they did about 10) – and Kerensa kept telling me that I was “seriously hilarious” – she’s 4 for goodness sake! Where does she get that from! We then played with the wii fit games. I also did about 30 minutes on the recumbent bike, so I pushed my minutes up to 90 for the day.
Tonight I will be finishing the C25K workout program – it’s W9D3. The workouts have been the same for D1 and D2 and I don’t think I’ll change my speed. My hips are still a bit stiff. On Thursday I’ll start my half marathon training. I’m scheduled to do a 5mile speed work workout... I’m going to work with intervals again, so I will use the program which is more of a schedule than a true app, and adjust the speeds to average out to be as prescribed but that give me short intervals of walking as that is how I plan to complete the half marathon. Mentally I think I’m ready to start the half marathon training. It’s nice to put a tick in the box for C25K complete! It will be good to get back to intervals as the past couple of weeks on C25K has been running for over 25 minutes straight with no intervals.
It’s a gorgeous day in Vancouver today. Tomorrow is due to be wet which is unfortunate as they are supposed to start working on our roof. Hopefully it will be dry enough for them to complete it before we go away... as well as Air Canada not striking.
I’d better get back to some work. Fingers crossed for my weigh in tomorrow... I hope the scales will be kind. And fingers crossed that Air Canada can work out their issues with the air stewards/stewardesses.
