An extra tyre! And 4 extra kilos! ARGH!!!!

Well, it certainly has been a while since my last blog. I’m back at work now after my Australian trip and it’s good... nice and busy and I’m already half way through the day and not experiencing too much in the way of jet lag. Hopefully I can get through the day without falling asleep.
We arrived back yesterday morning. The girls did really well on the flight – which was 14 hours. They played with their Leapfrog LeapPads and watched the movies. They also managed to get a fair amount of sleep in. Yesterday Kerensa slept in the afternoon but amazingly, Gwenna stayed awake.
I did some exercise yesterday – raking leaves. The two big trees at the back of the garden still seem to have nearly all their leaves – and there are LOTS so I am not looking forward to the next month or two of raking!
When we were in Australia, I ate out every day... sometimes multiple times. We met nearly all our friends during the trip and I only had 2 AFDs (alcohol free days) as there was always some excuse to celebrate. It was great to meet new friends (a couple of our friends had babies while we were away) and to see how much the children have all grown. The two weddings were wonderful – and they were lucky with the weather. October is a difficult month to predict in Sydney but the wedding days both had blue skies (for the ceremonies at least!).
I now feel like I have an extra tyre around my waist though. I have gained nearly 4kgs during my time away. I wasn’t able to run that much as the first time I went out I was attacked by a bird. This put me off running and I then just walked – admittedly, we walked a lot, but I need to get back into running as my Seattle Half marathon is just around the corner.
I am sorry this is so short but I must get back to work... I have a report to complete and other assignments too – all good. It was good to hear that my boss was glad that I am back – but that does mean he has lots for me to do!
Have a great day, my fellow Sparklies. I have missed you all. I look forward to the second half of the BLC and hopefully it won’t take me too long to lose this excess weight and get back on track. I feel disgusting! I apologise if it takes me a while to get back in touch properly with you, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed but hopefully it won’t take too long to get back to normal!
