The spark wheel

Monday, January 16, 2012

Today I decided the spark wheel not only makes me feel old, but it hates me. I should probably explain that a little. When I first joined spark people, there was no bonus spin for gathering 25 points, This makes me sound old when I say that. Also when I first began my spark journey, we had a set limit of points we were able to earn a day, again dont I sound old, back in the day....which is really no big deal. I am not complaining about it, I just think oh my even spark people has changed enough since I joined that I can say when I joined this is what we had.... The food tracker is different, the exercises are way better, the polls and quizzes are more accessible and I even enjoy a lot more recipes. But I digress. The spark wheel and I do not get along. It hates me!! The majority of the time its highest point is a 10. I am lucky to get a 20 or a 25. I NEVER get a 100. Prizes? are you kidding? I think prizes on the wheel is just for newbes. But I spin it daily anyway and get my little 3 or 5 points and move on with my life. When I do get my 25 points and get to spin the bonus wheel, guess what!! The same thing little bitty numbers!!I am stubborn though I will not give up. I will continue to spin that wheel until it decided I am an ok person.I have stopped hitting the mouse so hard when I hit spin, maybe that will help. I also walk away and dont watch it spin, do you think that will work???? any suggestion is welcome. I hate feeling old and being hated by the wheel!!
Thanks for reading!!

I hit 20 points on the wheel three out of four days one week. I kind of like it as it is, so do NOT go changing it! I have also hit for 100 points and 500 points. Maybe at your advanced age, you just don't have the strength to spin it properly. Check with the exercises Nicole posts to see if she has any you could use to improve your spin strength. Are you drinking too much coffee? That could effect you too or make your vision blurry so you could not see the numbers on the wheel properly. Try cutting down on your morning coffee. If these suggestions don't help, just admit that you are a jinx, and quit buying lotto tickets too. (all said in jest to my good friend, Theresa)
