Day 3 Eat to Live

I was down 0.5kgs this morning!!! That means I am down a total of 1.5lbs in 2 days. That was great to see on the scales!

This morning I switched it up. I had a smoothie instead of the fruit:
1 cup almond milk
1 frozen banana
1 handful of blueberries
4 large strawberries
1 teaspoon peanut butter.

Yummy!

Lunch was the same - salad, half a whole wheat pitta with the eggplant and spinach dip. I also had a second smoothie in the afternoon. I've not eaten so many of the crackers today.

I had dinner of:
Kale, spinach, carrots, broccoli, cauli, peas and a sweet potato that I didn't eat as I nuked it in the microwave by mistake. Dr Fuhrman says to eat at least 1lbs of cooked veg - I weighed my plate and it was 1.2lbs! I managed to finish it all although it is a bit bland. I think I'll investigate some of the recipes from the book for this week.

I've had a bad headache all afternoon so I'm not sure what that's about. It's a bit disappointing. I've not been drinking as much water today but I have drank a few cups of herbal tea.

Anyway, I'm going to relax now and hopefully kick this headache. Sleep well my friends!

    Awesome job! Dinner sounds lovely! I can just imagine all that on a plate. But yes, I find myself using a lot more herbs and spices now that I've cut down on the salt. It took a few days to adjust to the taste. But I'm enjoying it now.

    Oh and the headache took me probably 3 days to get through. Hopefully yours will subside soon, too.

    The headache could be from the lack of water or the change in the diet. It usually happens for a couple of days until you get use to it. Keep drinking the water though. You're doing well!

    Sometimes I get a headache when I don't eat enough or eat the right things. Great job on the veggies but maybe add some more protein to the mix and that may help things. Good luck and good job! :)
