Days 7,8 and 9 Eat to Live... I must remember it's not Cheat to Live!

This weekend we went to the ranch (we have a trailer there and it's like a campground for regulars - we are members and can go whenever we like) and it's difficult to eat properly when you're not at home but I tried my best... almost.

On Friday I ate well in the day - we didn't leave until late afternoon. I had the same for breakfast (small oatmeal and blueberries with a frozen banana smoothie) and lunch (salad and something beany).

In the evening we bought some ready meals... I chose Amy's Bean burrito plate thing which came with rice. It was OK... I added a big plate of steamed kale to it.

On Saturday I made a tofu scramble for breakfast:
Tofu crumbled
Vegan sausage (it was a bit spicy, a mexican chipotle)
mushrooms
red pepper
red onion
celery

Yum!

At lunch I had a curry from Trader Joes. It was an eggplant something and was vegetarian but had a little milk in it so not vegan. It was pretty delicious and I had it on kale instead of rice.

On Sunday it was Cheat to Live... we went out for breakfast and there wasn't a lot of choice... I had bacon (ARGH!!!) and scrambled eggs (DOUBLE ARGH!) but even though it was all you can eat, I only had one slice of bacon and a little egg.

Over the weekend I also drank quite a bit of wine and ate some chocolate covered cherries (TRIPLE ARGH!!!).

I weighed myself this morning and I was up 0.4kgs since Friday. Not a great result but it's also TOM and I usually gain a little then anyway....

I'm back on track again today. Feeling good - although a little tired as both our girls got into bed with us last night. That was tiring. I managed to get one back in her own bed after about an hour of four in the bed... but it messed up my sleep...

Got to go - dinner time!!

    Do you have a cheat day for being vegan? I do, so I get ya, but I don't see why you guilt yourself over it if that's the day you set aside! All things in moderation, right?

    Also, putting curry on kale is a brilliant idea.

    Haha! I had to chuckle when I read about the girls getting in bed. My youngest (of 6) still sneaks into my bed whenever he gets the chance. This usually means that I'm his pillow and hubby is his foot rest (ie we both wake up with a backache or sore something).

    Sounds like you're doing great. Hey, we all have our bad days, but the important thing is that you don't let it derail you. So you're back on track and that's what counts!
