So, here I am contemplating maintenance...what does that mean? I've never had to maintain as I 've always been losing weight OR pregnant. Now, it seems I've reached my goal(still leery of that number from last week.)I will weigh again Thurs. One thing that goes thru my head is should I lose a few more #s so I have a 'range' to work with? I realize that weight fluctuates daily and I want a reasonable not too tiny/not to large range to stay inside of. Am I rambling? LOL!
Also-I attempted to change my calorie intake to maintain but cannot see HOW to do that. Change my goals on weight area? How do you put in maintenance? I know from a reliable calculation that I should take in approx. 2000 cals per day(PHEW!! That's high!) to maintain this weight at my current fitness activities.
I guess I'm asking for help from all of you maintainers and leaders. I know you're out there and I would SO appreciate some guidance!!!
Thank you!

I'm navigating this crazy, strange world of maintenance too. The first week I think I lost an additional 2 lbs and I think it was because between exercising (which is now a habit so I just do it) and being so used to eating 1500 calories/day, I don't think I was eating enough. Then these last 2 weeks I've been pigging out like crazy due to all the parties we've been attending lately and yet I've only gained 1 lb back. I think there is definitely something to this happy weight business. Your body WANTS to be at this weight.

For myself, I'm giving myself a +/- 3 lb window. I can gain up to 5 lbs in water weight so I figure this takes care of the normal fluctuation in weight and bloat.

Here is a link to what to do on SP for calorie ranges. I'll also send it to you via SparkMail, for the clickable version.

Congratulations! Now a different sort of challenge begins for you.
