Exercise advice at the eye Dr.'s...

I went to the eye doctor and read a wonderful article in Prevention Magazine (May 2012 issue, I think) on how to find opportunities to exercise throughout the day. I loved it!! Ever since then I have been walking to school/church activities when possible, doing more work in the garden, running items downstairs and putting them away instead of just tossing them down there for later, taking walks with my children, speed cleaning my house, taking the stairs... the list goes on and on. In every thing I do I look for ways to amp it up a little. Even while sitting here typing I'm working on my thighs by flexing them. I feel great, but an even better side effect is I am finding myself enjoying life and the people around me so much more!

The ladies in our neighborhood are starting an eight week summer health challenge as well. I would normally shy away from such opportunities, but not this time! I'm ready to take it on!!

If anyone has other ideas on how to find exercise opportunities throughout the day, I would love to hear them!
