Experiment - Entry 2

Friday, June 08, 2012

As promised, this entry will be about raspberry ketones.

Raspberry ketone is the aromatic compound found in raspberries. It has been found to regulate a protein (can’t remember the name of it) found in the body that is used to regulate fat metabolism. In order for it to help a stagnant metabolism, you’d have to eat way more raspberries than is humanly possible every day. I think 90 pounds – way too many raspberries for anyone, I’m sure.

Since I’m not a big fan of raspberries anyway, taking a concentrated form in a tiny capsule works much better for me. I’ve found it very easy to stick with the raspberry ketone routine. I never forget to take them because I have one before I leave for work and another when I get home from work, very simple.

I’ve been taking the raspberry ketones for a week, so really not enough time to give any feedback except that I feel like I have more energy and I don’t seem to be as hungry. I haven’t experienced jitters or dry mouth either. Actually, the only side effect that I’ve noticed is raspberry breath. It’s especially evident if I’ve burped. Not such a bad thing, really.

Next: Green Coffee Extract.

Maybe I should get my husband to take those after he's had onions~LOL! When I was breastfeeding I took Fenugreek to help increase milk production and it made my sweat smell like syrup. I thought that was an awesome side effect. I didn't see the episode on the raspberry ketones so I'll be very interested in your findings. I think certain supplements can be helpful. I take cranberry extract pills to keep UTIs at bay and they are very effective. Thanks for sharing!

Very interesting. I think it's good to have a health-related experiment to focus on! emoticon emoticon
