week in review day #7

Hello spark friends,
Well I will be honest and tell you all about my week. First, of all I got on the scale and was LIVID!!!! I am having some REAL challenges with fluid retention and the scale was up 10 pounds...I have a doctors appointment on the 19th so we can see what is going on.

My clothes still feel good on me, but I am a emoticon (scale) addict...I know..I know....so, I finally got past that, and the next thing to happen was the 4th of July holiday.

I had family and friends over on July 3rd for cards and laughter...of course there was food and I ate and ate and ate...not good...then the 4th of July...I did not get to workout and I went to not one, but two 4th of July celebrations...and guess what I ate at both places....I was like Vee, you never eat this much what is going on??? so on the 5th of July I got up and went to Zumba...it was a great class....by this time I am back on track and eating healthy...

So today, July 7th I met up with the trainer he weighed me and was like....you do not look like you weigh 260 pounds...I was like REALLY??? after looking at my photos from December to today...which are on my page I really can tell the difference...

I will track again next week and report my changes...

    I know how you feel. I went through that water retention thing my feet and legs would swell and I couldnt' nor could the docs figure out why. I was taking a water pill during that time as well. Prayer is a great thing to have on your side. Went through it for a few months and it just disappeared and the weight gain did to. Never returned again!!! I hope yours will do the same. Great job on your success thus far. I was starting to get hungry just reading your blog about the eating (lol). Best to you on continuing being focused.

    I force myself to weigh only once a week because I get discouraged if I weigh everyday. We have all had weeks when we eat more than we should. Have a great week !

    Good for you! It's energizing to see how far you've come. Stay focused.

    As for the scale, I hate it and love it at the same time. It truely is the "frenemy". I will never give up the scale. I weigh-in every Friday. It is the truth-teller for me. Actually, if it were not for the scale, I probably would have gained at minimum 10 pounds back by now. Whew! Girl, it hurts me just to type that out. Since I've entered maintenance, I've fluated 2 pounds up and down around my goal weight. I'm up now but I'm working hard to get that sucker back down!

    Let's keep tracking and exercising... let's make it happen my friend.
