Last Week Verses This Week (Picking Myself Up)

Wednesday, August 21, 2013

Last week I was on a high - I kept my calories low in my range AND I was exercising about an hour per day for 5 DAYS STRAIGHT! I felt great about myself, and I was on a roll. emoticon

THEN I took a well deserved day off on Friday and went to the State Fair with my husband and friends. Needless to say, even though I limited what I ate and my portions it still went over my calorie range... I mean, it's Fair Food, nothing healthy about it! Okay, so one day of "splurgance" is to be expected once-in-a-while. However, that ONE day turned into FIVE! emoticon

I kept tracking my calories, but I wasn't doing as good of a job staying within my range. I didn't work out AT ALL. I was tired, miserable, felt depressed, frustrated with myself, and lost. emoticon I felt like I had thrown away all my progress of the previous five days.

Today I decided to stop wallowing in my self-pity, pick myself up, dust myself off, and make the most of the REST of this week! emoticon I stayed within my calorie range today AND worked out an hour emoticon . I feel like I have more energy already and my self-esteem immediately gets boosted.

Have you ever gotten off track within meaning to? How long did it take you to get back with it? What motivated you?
