Encouragement to keep trying

I was on the point of throwing in the towel on this weight loss business. Then I logged on to sparkpeople and was motivated by all the wonderful people stopping by page and cheering me on. I hope I can do that for others.

I got busy and made a big pot of Dolly Pardon cabbage soup ate some and froze 4 big bowls for the future. Every time I want something extra I try and get a bowl of soup first. In addition to getting my house spring cleaned with the Eggstra weight watcher team challenge, I walked for over a hour in front of the TV tonight. During commercials I walked from one end of my home to the other several times and got in over 10,000 steps.

I need to get back to walking every day, hopefully I am back on the wagon.

    Is 10,000 miles six miles? I'm on WW too. I sometimes steam a whole cauliflower. if I binge on that, with a little dressing, I never gain. Or if I do a protein drink for breakfast, and put 1/2 a frozen bananna, and vegetables & 1/2 of some other fruit, I feel like I ate ice cream, Even eating an egg white omelet with vegetables really helps you lose that extra. I had a hard time doing that chart we were suppose to do. But the good thing is that last week when I weighted myself and thought I had gained, it was from sating processed foods that had salt, and I was actually down. Have a happy Easter. eva

    Getting back on track and starting is the hardest part, feels like a punishment. Tell yourself it's a reward, that you're doing this for you and bettering your health! Don't restrict too much, eat in moderation but don't overdo it.
    There will be times where you want to give up but you shouldn't be starving so much that you feel that feeling all the time! Ease back into it,

    Soup before meals sounds like "Volumetrics" by Barbara Rolls. She says a bowl of soup before meals helps cut over all calories. And 10,000 steps is huge. Great way to get in exercise.
