BLC25 Fitness Test

Today I completed the BLC25 Fitness Test for the weekend challenge. I think that this will really give me a good measure to track my progress. I started out with regular pushups and then half way through the minute I transitioned to knee pushups. I completed 35 pushups altogether. I then transitioned to the crunches - which I did 51. I wasn't really sure what the SP guidelines for crunches were though - I searched the website, but didn't find it. Regardless, I did regular crunches with bent knees - so hopefully that is within the guidelines. I did the one mile walk next. I wasn't really sure how to track the mile - but I found a great app called MapMyWalk - which tracks your distance, time, route, pace, and calories burned. It was a great find. I only walked, didn't run. My time was 14:15. I plan on using this app though to train for a race. It will be a good companion for training. I then did the last part of the fitness test - the 3-minute step. I didn't have a 12-inch step - so I just used the bottom step of my stairs. It isn't quite 12 inches, but I had to improvise. I also don't think that I did my pulse very well. I couldn't feel it at times and had to search, so it may be off. I got 73. Maybe I should figure out a better way to take my pulse.
