More Challenging Exercise

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

I have been going to the gym regularly for a few years. Recently, I started to gain weight and I noticed that what I was doing at the gym was getting a little too comfortable. I was tracking miles on the elliptical and doing the same SET routine that I had done for years. This week I decided to make some changes. I have started walking on the stair climber for at least twenty minutes of my gym time and I am increasing the incline and speed of the treadmill that I am using. I have left the elliptical completely alone this week. I have also added pull ups and dips to my set routine. I can really feel my heart rate go up on the stair climber as well as the pull emoticon ups and dips. ( I have had to start with only 8 reps on the pullups as these are very hard.) I have felt so much better these past two days when I have left the gym because I have really worked. Hopefully, more challenging exercise along with some calorie adjustments will stop the weight gain and may even result in a lose.
